About Oucch and the project

Oucch is a cosmetics brand that sells online through its own store. Ackrolix's portfolio lists it in the cosmetics sector.

The live store focuses on three product families: fragrances, including solid perfumes in small tins and capsule perfumes; lip care, which the site calls Lip Magic; and body care, such as bath products and wardrobe fresheners. The visual identity is bold and dramatic, with deep reds, black backgrounds, glossy product photography and playful product names.

Ackrolix's portfolio lists Oucch as a Shopify eCommerce project: an online store for a cosmetics brand built on Shopify.

Beauty shoppers often buy on mood, gifting and social proof as much as on specifications. The live store reflects this with a short menu, mood-based category cards, a bestsellers row, shoppable video content and a clear row of store promises. The sections below walk through each of these on the homepage.

The tone of the copy matches the visuals. Headlines are short and teasing, product names are memorable, and calls to action are direct. Bringing that personality into a working store, without making it harder to find and buy products, is the main design challenge for a brand like this.

A homepage with a strong brand mood

A scrolling announcement bar runs across the top with festive sale and offer messages. The header is minimal: the OC monogram, a menu with Home, Fragrances, Lip Magic, Bodycare and Contact Us, and icons for search, account and cart.

The hero sets the brand's tone immediately. Against a smoky red background, four solid perfume tins with names such as Lust, First Night and Swiftie sit beside cherries and rose petals, with a model on the right. The headline reads "Your little pot of obsession," followed by "Intimate scents. Irresistible presence." and a Shop Bestseller button.

Shopping by mood

"What's your Oucch today?" asks visitors to "Find your mood, find your scent." Three tall cards follow, each tied to a product family: Turn Heads for fragrances, Leave a Trace for lip care and Stay Obsessed for body care. Every card has a styled product photo, the mood line, the category name and a Shop Now button.

Naming categories after a feeling rather than a product type fits how beauty products are often chosen, while the small category label underneath keeps the destination clear.

The cards sit on a black background with generous spacing, and each product photo is styled to match its mood: perfume tins on a gold tray, lip products against red, and body care jars with splashes of pink. The consistent card height and button placement keep the section easy to scan despite the busy imagery.

Bestsellers up front

After "The Oucch Obsession," a carousel of photos showing the products in use, the page moves to "Bestsellers" with the line "The ones everyone's talking about."

Four product cards sit on a black background: perfume capsules, a pack of solid perfume minis, an ice-cream-themed soap and wardrobe fresheners. Each card has a wishlist heart, a styled product photo, the product name with a short descriptor, pricing and a star rating. Short descriptors such as "Freshness That Stays" help a first-time visitor understand an unfamiliar product format quickly.

"The Oucch Obsession" carousel above it works as lifestyle proof. It shows people applying lip products and holding perfume tins, presented inside a framed panel with arrow and dot controls, so visitors see the products in use before they reach the product grid.

Products that tell a story

A full-width "Break the Capsule" banner introduces the capsule perfume range with a Shop Capsule button. Below it, "Products That Tell a Story" presents short vertical videos in a centered carousel.

The visible clips show a body care jar being opened, a creator presenting the solid perfumes and a product being used on the go. Several videos carry a product tag, and the center card shows the linked product's thumbnail, name and price. This format brings social-style content onto the store itself, so visitors can move from watching a product to viewing it in one step.

Creator outreach and store promises

Near the end of the page, a wide banner titled "Calling Confident Creators" invites creators to join the brand, with a "We want you!" line and a Join Us link. It frames the brand's audience as active participants rather than only customers.

Directly below sits a burgundy trust strip with four promises: free shipping above an order value, cash on delivery for select PIN codes, cruelty-free and vegan products, and secure checkout. Placing these just above the footer answers common last-minute questions about delivery, payment and product values.

Why Shopify suits a cosmetics brand

Shopify gives a direct-to-consumer beauty brand hosted product pages, collections, cart and checkout, discount tools and order management in one platform. Theme sections can be rearranged and refreshed for launches and festive sales, which suits a brand that changes campaigns often.

The Oucch store uses that flexibility for a homepage built around brand mood: an editorial hero, mood-based categories, bestsellers, video content and clear store promises. For a similar project, the early work is usually in deciding the product families, campaign sections and content formats the homepage needs to support.
