About Latin Manharlal and the InvestMart platform

Latin Manharlal operates in stock broking and wealth management. InvestMart is its digital investment and wealth management platform, built to give investors convenient access to financial markets, portfolio information and investment products through mobile and web interfaces.

The business model is B2C: trading, investment and wealth management for retail investors and traders. Behind the investor-facing screens, the platform also has to serve relationship managers, operations staff and administrators, each with a different level of access to customer information.

Latin Manharlal engaged Ackrolix Innovations to design and develop InvestMart as a single, centralized digital experience. The goal was to bring stock market participation, portfolio monitoring, mutual fund investments, order management and financial product discovery into one place instead of a set of disconnected services.

  • Industry: stock broking and WealthTech (FinTech).
  • Business model: B2C trading, investment and wealth management.
  • Platforms: web trading platform and mobile app for Android and iOS.
  • Primary users: investors, traders, relationship managers and admins.

02 / The project

What did Latin Manharlal need from a digital investment platform?

Latin Manharlal needed a digital investment ecosystem that simplified the investor journey while supporting product discovery, portfolio visibility, trading-related activity and operational management. Customers were to get one unified platform rather than separate financial services, reporting interfaces and support channels.

The Latin Manharlal website section shown below illustrates the entry point for that journey. Under the heading "New to Investing? Start Here", it presents three paths: research across equity and mutual funds, mutual fund solutions, and a "state of the art platform" card that points visitors to the InvestMart app and web platform for IPOs, bonds and more. A short name and mobile number form sits underneath.

The requirements were organized into five areas, covering the investor app, the web platform, relationship manager support, administration and security.

The Latin Manharlal website guides first-time investors toward research, mutual funds and the InvestMart app and web platform.

Investor mobile application

The app had to be the everyday tool for retail investors, covering access, market exploration, investing and account management.

  • Investor registration and authentication linked to trading or investment accounts.
  • Personalized dashboard with investment summaries, market information, account balances and portfolio values.
  • Equity market access: explore listed securities, view market information, create watchlists and use available trading functions.
  • Mutual fund investment, IPO applications and Stock SIP recurring investment journeys.
  • Portfolio tracking of holdings, positions, investment values and profit/loss.
  • Fund management with balance information and add-funds workflows, order monitoring and notifications.

Web-based investment platform

Investors who prefer desktop trading and portfolio monitoring needed a browser-based equivalent.

  • Unified trading dashboard and market watch with configurable watchlists.
  • Holdings, positions and valuation summaries.
  • Order management with visibility into order placement journeys, order books and execution status.
  • Investment product discovery from a centralized interface.
  • Consistent behavior across desktop and mobile browsers.

Relationship manager and support workflow

Staff needed tools to help investors with navigation, account services and investment-related processes.

  • Recording and managing account-related service requests.
  • Escalating unresolved technical or operational concerns to the right team.
  • Permission-based visibility into account status and coordinated customer communication.

Administrative and operations management

Authorized teams needed control over accounts, products, content and reporting.

  • Investor profile, account status and platform access management.
  • Configuration of supported product categories, visibility and platform content.
  • Operational monitoring of user activity and service workflows.
  • Support tracking, announcements, notifications, operational reports and role-based access.

Security and compliance requirements

Because the platform handles financial and personal data, security requirements shaped every module.

  • Secure investor authentication and session management.
  • Controlled access to financial and personal information, with account-level restrictions.
  • Secure communication between mobile and web interfaces and backend services.
  • Auditability of sensitive administrative activities.
  • Robust error handling and data validation for transaction-related processes.
  • Integration boundaries aligned with brokerage and market infrastructure.

Challenges in building a multi-product investment platform

InvestMart combines several financial products, frequently changing market data and multiple user roles. Ackrolix's project documentation groups the resulting challenges into four areas.

Financial platform architecture

Equity, mutual funds, IPOs and holdings had to live inside one consistent experience, which required careful information architecture.

  • Market data complexity: frequently changing information needed proper refresh, synchronization and error handling.
  • Transaction reliability: clear status communication to avoid confusion between submitted, pending, rejected and completed actions.
  • Portfolio data consistency: holdings, positions, order history and balances had to match across every interface.

User experience

Desktop traders and mobile retail investors have very different interaction needs, and both had to be served without overwhelming either group.

  • Translating trading terminology, valuations and market movements into understandable screens.
  • Balancing dashboard information density so users see enough data without clutter.
  • Fast navigation to watchlists, holdings, positions, orders and funds.
  • Clearly distinguishing indicative market values from confirmed transactions.

Integration

InvestMart depends on the wider brokerage ecosystem, so it had to stay reliable even when connected services did not.

  • Integrating with the brokerage ecosystem and authorized financial services.
  • Keeping investment information consistent across screens and connected services.
  • Gracefully handling delays or failures in third-party data and transaction services.
  • Maintaining secure customer access across platform components.

Security and operations

Operational tooling added its own risks around data access and accountability.

  • Protecting personal details, financial information and account records.
  • Role segregation to prevent unauthorized access to investor and operational information.
  • Traceability of platform and administrative activities for audit requirements.
  • Interfaces and backend interactions designed to handle growing users and market activity.

InvestMart mobile app and web trading interface

Ackrolix designed and developed InvestMart as a multi-platform investment experience: an investor mobile app, a desktop web trading interface and an operations and admin layer, all built around secure, convenient access to investment services.

The promotional screen below shows both investor surfaces side by side. On the phone, the app displays NIFTY and SENSEX index tiles, Equity, Mutual Funds and Positions tabs, a current portfolio valuation with day change, an Explore Products row (Scalp Mode, MF, Stock SIP, E-IPO) and an Add Fund panel. On the laptop, the Latin Manharlal-branded web dashboard shows the tabbed navigation (Dashboard, Markets, Watchlist, Dp Holding, Positions, Orders), a NIFTY watchlist with symbol search, last traded prices and change percentages, a total invested, current value and total P/L summary, and a Top Gainers list. The values on screen are sample market and account data, not project results.

The InvestMart mobile app and the Latin Manharlal web trading dashboard draw on the same account, market and portfolio data.

Investor mobile application

The app opens on a personalized investment dashboard and gives one-tap access to markets, portfolio and products.

  • Dashboard: account overview with live portfolio valuation and day change, NIFTY and SENSEX tiles with movement indicators, and quick navigation to Holdings, Positions, Watchlist and Order Book.
  • Explore Products shortcuts for Scalp Mode, Mutual Funds, Stock SIP and E-IPO, plus Add Funds, notifications and account settings.
  • Equity and market watch: index display, security and symbol search, multiple watchlists and price movement indicators.
  • Portfolio management: equity holdings, current positions and DP holdings, total invested versus current value with profit and loss, and investment history.
  • Account and fund services: account-level financial summaries, add-funds workflow, transaction navigation and support access.

Web trading interface

The browser terminal targets investors who prefer a larger screen for trading and monitoring.

  • Market dashboard with watchlist selection, symbol search, market prices and change percentages.
  • Top Gainers, Top Visited Symbols and FII and DII market summaries.
  • Equity, Mutual Funds and Positions views with total invested, current value and total P/L.
  • Order navigation, order book, trading activity and transaction status presentation.

Core technical capabilities

Both interfaces sit on shared foundations so data stays consistent wherever investors log in.

  • Multi-platform architecture with shared backend services powering the app and the web terminal.
  • Market data layer for refresh and synchronization of indices, prices and portfolio valuations.
  • Integration layer with secure interfaces to authorized brokerage, market data and investment services.
  • Role-based access control with separate permissions for investors, relationship managers, operations and admins.
  • Audit trail logging of sensitive administrative actions.

Relationship manager, admin and operations workflows

Latin Manharlal's service model relies on people as well as software. The website section shown below, aimed at seasoned investors, describes personalized wealth strategies, an HNI desk staffed by dedicated relationship managers (RMs) and virtual relationship managers (VRMs), and access to specialized opportunities such as AIF and PMS, with a "Connect with Our Experts" call to action.

InvestMart's operations layer gives those staff a controlled way to work with customer accounts. Ackrolix built an admin and operations panel covering customer management, service management, content and notifications, and reporting, along with defined workflows for each internal role. Relationship managers work within assigned permissions and have no access to investor trading credentials or unrestricted transaction execution.

Why the InvestMart project matters

InvestMart shows how complex financial services can be presented through one interface. Investors can navigate products, monitor portfolios, access market information and manage account activity from a single place, while relationship managers and administrators work inside clearly bounded permissions.

For Ackrolix, the project reflects experience in financial technology product development, user experience design for data-dense dashboards, and the digitization of complex financial workflows where clear status communication and auditability matter as much as features.

  • Multi-platform investment experience: mobile app plus web trading terminal.
  • Investor dashboard with portfolio visibility.
  • Market watch and investment product discovery.
  • Equity, mutual fund, Stock SIP and IPO journeys.
  • Secure, account-oriented platform design.
  • Relationship manager, operations and admin workflow foundation.

Questions about this project

What did Ackrolix build for Latin Manharlal?

Ackrolix designed and developed InvestMart, Latin Manharlal's investment platform. It includes an investor mobile app for Android and iOS, a browser-based web trading interface, and an admin and operations panel for relationship managers, support staff and administrators.

Which investment products does InvestMart support?

The platform brings together equity investing with watchlists and market data, mutual funds, IPO applications, Stock SIP recurring investments, holdings and positions tracking, add-funds workflows and order monitoring.

How does InvestMart connect to brokerage and market systems?

An integration layer provides secure interfaces to authorized brokerage, market data and investment services, and a market data layer refreshes indices, prices and valuations. Order validation, exchange execution and settlement remain with the connected brokerage and market infrastructure.

How is access controlled for staff and relationship managers?

Role-based access control gives investors, relationship managers, operations staff and admins separate permissions, and sensitive administrative actions are logged in an audit trail. Relationship managers cannot access investor trading credentials or execute unrestricted transactions.

What team and process did Ackrolix use?

The team included a business analyst, project manager, UI/UX designer, mobile app developer, frontend developer, backend developer, QA engineer and DevOps engineer. Work moved from stakeholder workshops and journey mapping through design approvals, Agile development sprints, integration, testing and deployment.

What technology stack does InvestMart use?

The documentation describes a component-based responsive web frontend, Android and iOS app technologies, secure API-based backend services, transactional storage, cloud or managed hosting, HTTPS and role-based security, and monitoring through logs, performance tracking and error tracking.
